The ITF is pleased to announce that the 16th ITF Worldwide Coaches Conference 2009 by BNP Paribas will be held in Valencia, Spain from 30 October – 3 November 2009. The event is being organised by the ITF in conjunction with the Real Federación Española de Tenis.

The theme of this year’s Conference is Developing Competencies for Elite Players and Coaches and the conference will deal with issues related to high level player development, professional tennis coaching, applied sport science for top coaching and coaches’ education. In addition, there will be sessions involving Marketing of the Game and the ITF´s Play and Stay campaign.

The ITF Worldwide Coaches Conference is the showpiece of the ITF’s Coach Education Programme. This five-day event offers a perfect combination of coaches’ education, the latest sport science information and practical on-court coaching presentations.

The event, which is held every two years, has been held in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
