Gustavo works with the Argentine Tennis Association as the Director of the National Junior School. He was Davis Cup Captain for Argentina in 2003 and 2004 and he has also coached top 10 players such as Guillermo Coria (2004 French Open runner up) and David Nalbandian (2003 Wimbledon runner up), among others. He was also the team manager of the Argentine tennis team that won three bronze medals in the Pan-American Games in Winnipeg in 1999. He has spoken at many international workshops, is also a columnist, and a radio and TV commentator. As a player, he was finalist of the Nations Cup in 1989 and was a member of Argentina's Davis Cup team from 1989-1991. He reached a world doubles ranking of 30 as a member of Argentina's National High Performance Team.
