Introduction
The word competency has been one of the most used in education, academics and labour settings during the last decade. Despite of this, we are far from a unique definition as well as a comprehensive classification and agreement on the types and characteristics that define what a competency is. The purpose of this presentation is to contribute to the clarification of the concept of competency and to discuss possible processes of developing key competencies for elite players and coaches.- Title 2º
